He has been buying Millionaire since it first came out and from it he formed his philosophy on life: he believes in what he is doing, and makes every effort to carry out his ideas. The Entrepreneur Course of CreaImpresa-Millionaire helped him achieve his goals. We are speaking about Gianni Davico, who has a degree in Arts and a well-established enterprise in Turin: Tesi & testi.
"I was good at writing. In my student days I was stimulated by the idea that I had to write my thesis and was encouraged by the advice in Millionaire. So I started to type texts and process them on a PC. My first customers were classmates who actually graduated before I did! There was definitely a demand there: there were 20 thousand students at university, all potential customers of mine. Now, five years later Tesi & testi is still in continual evolution - From proof-reading and editing for publishing companies, to literary and technical-commercial translations.
Today Davico works with a large network of translators. To find new customers he does targeted mailings: "Prices and services are tailored to each order, without any sacrifice of quality. It is a way to beat the competition.
Tesi & testi, which was founded in a home office and with the sole expense of a PC, today has a turnover of over 100 million Italian lire. Davico also undertook the writing of manuals: his first book, aimed at university students writing their theses, was titled "La tesi. Istruzioni per l'uso" (Your Thesis: Instructions for Use), Lindau (12.000 Italian lire).
