Tesi & testi, a Turin-based company, which since 1995 has been supplying translation and interpreting services to businesses, was awarded the European prize for entrepreneurs, Eurowards 2002, last November, in connection with the prestigious symposium held in Louvain-la-Neuve in Belgium, on 19th and 20th November 2002.
To the judgement of the European Selection Committee, made up of eminent personalities in the field of economics and politics, Tesi & testi was worthy of first place in the "Expansion" category in Italy, out of a total of 1,126 participants in 20 countries. The final selection was made from among 44 companies from all over Europe, four of which were Italian.
The selection criteria used by the panel of judges included the originality of the project and its openness towards Europe, characteristics that 35-year-old Turinese entrepreneur Gianni Davico has pursued ever since founding his business. His company offers a number of highly professional services that facilitate communication between different countries and cultures. To achieve this goal, Tesi & testi relies on qualified staff and an enormous array of professional translators and interpreters.
In only a few years, the business has reached a yearly turnover of over € 165,000 by acquiring a share of the international market, especially in Great Britain and United States. This was achieved by increasing the range of services offered to customers, which resulted in an increase in the number of people who work for the company.
Tesi & testi is expanding considerably: it has set out to increase its staff to 8-10 people by the year 2010, in addition to increasing its annual turnover to € 1 million.
