Technical Translations
"Technical translation" is an expression that embodies several meanings in one, yet nothing in particular: this is because companies all have very different needs. If we want to simplify things considerably, we can divide documents to be translated into three categories:
- Technical documentation (e.g. instruction and user manuals for machinery). Here, technical precision is fundamental, as the translation will carry your business name all around the world. This kind of translation is done by translators specialized in the sector, who determine and verify all terminology in the minutest of detail, with a precision in terms that is unquestionable;
- Marketing literature and, generally, texts that serve to "sell" something (e.g. brochures, catalogues, etc.). These texts demand not only translation, but special, and even paranoid attention to style and detail, as the subtlest shade of meaning can sometimes really make the difference;
- Business correspondence (from simple letters to longer, and more structured quotes and offers), where direct expression and prompt communication take importance over crafting perfect style. These translations are always faithful and economical - which is always important! -, delivered to the customer without stylistic frills and, most importantly, without delay (a half-day is a long time for us).
